Brixham Breakwater is a very popular venue for anglers, due to easy access and good fishing. From the carpark to the end of the breakwater is approximatly a 10 minute walk. the end of the structure seems to be the most popular area to fish with anglers jossling for space. Dont let this mislead you into thinking it is the only place worth fishing as fish can be caught from both sides of the breakwater in any area.
Float fishing will usually produce Mackerel, Garfish, Pollock, Wrasse and Bass, where as fishing on the bottom you have the chance of picking up all the above plus Conger, Dogfish, Whiting and many more (Season dependant).
Baits worth using include Mackerel, Squid, Peeler crab, Sandeel, Worm baits and Prawns.
You have a lot of rocks around the base of the breakwater so keep your rigs simple and your rod tip high when you reel in, it may be worth using a "rotten bottom" to minimise rig and fish losses to the rocks
