Is an easy to fish venue on the Taw estuary which can produce Bass, Flounder, eel and the occasional Codling on big spring tides.

The ground you are fishing over is a mixture of mud and sand with the main channel running directly below your feet, to the slight left of the section that juts out there is a rock mound (Blackrock) which has been known to produce some big Bass to Peeler when fished in between the rock and the mud bank. The only bait really worth using at this mark is Harbour Rag “maddies” (can be dug at the venue over low water) with peeler crab as a close second.

Most rigs work at this venue but keep the hooks on the small side (6-2) as this will make it easier to unhook the flounder. Std beach fishing gear is recommended for this mark but on a neap tide it can be fun to fish with light carp gear.
