The inflow of fresh water into the Kingsbridge estuary is minimal, relative to the expanse of water. There are usually, plenty of fish to be hunted down in the winter months, cole, whiting and flounders are usually about and in the spring and through the summer guilt head bream, bass, ray, dabs and plaice are to be found. Often in good numbers.Bait: good quality rag worm, (not boxed) squid, peeler crab and lugworm. Tackle: keep it reasonably light unless you are targeting the larger species such as ray and conger. A good quality bass rod and multiplier reel with a fine non stretch line good quality fishing tackle is ideal for most situations.
